Isobel has lived in Caversham for over 30 years and been a councillor serving her community for over 19 years. She is proud of her achievements which include helping deliver a much needed primary school in Caversham Heights ward, as well as helping refurbish/rebuild the dilapidated pavilion and making Mapledurham Playing Fields accessible for all. More recently she has successfully campaigned for public transparency and action from Thames Water and Reading Borough Council regarding the Kidmore Road sinkhole.
She has helped individual residents with issues such as council tax overcharging, concessionary bus pass renewals, planning applications, missed bins, pot holes, road resurfacing, road safety issues, school admissions, housing problems, alcohol addiction, vandalism and helping adults suffering mental health crises get urgent professional help.
Outside her councillor role she has a full-time job as a comms consultant working in the built environment. Do visit her Facebook page to hear some of the work she is doing.
