I am a Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in the housing sector, currently working for a housing association. My professional background has given me a deep understanding of social housing, the importance of responding quickly to residents’ concerns, and the need to deliver real value for money for those who rely on these services.
I have lived in Caversham for over 30 years, and I’m a husband to Isobel and a proud father of two grown-up children, with strong roots in the community. I use a motorbike to get around the local area and am fed up of the dire state of Reading's roads. In particular the A4155 Henley Road between Chiltern Road and The Travellers Rest, as well as Caversham Bridge. I am campaigning with my colleagues to force the Labour administration to get on and fix both without further delay.
I am standing in the local elections this May because I want to be a strong, effective voice for Caversham Ward residents - championing their interests and ensuring the Labour administration is properly held to account, particularly when it comes to financial transparency and performance..
