We are pleased to announce that Saadia Saadat has been selected as the Conservative candidate for the upcoming by-election in Caversham Heights Ward, following the resignation of a Labour councillor.
Saadia is a caring, hardworking, and deeply committed member of the local community. For several years, she has worked closely alongside Cllr Isobel Ballsdon, helping to tackle local issues and support residents. Through this partnership, Isobel has seen first-hand Saadia’s dedication and determination, and strongly believes Saadia will make an excellent councillor for Caversham Heights.
Saadia’s story is one of resilience and commitment. As a single parent, she raised four children while creating a stable and loving home through sheer determination. Her three sons attended The Heights Primary School, giving her a strong connection to local families and schools. Alongside her role as a mother, Saadia works full-time as a digital and automation specialist, balancing professional success with her commitment to the community.
Known for her energy and persistence, Saadia brings a proactive approach to everything she does. She has grown increasingly frustrated with the Labour administration’s failure to address key infrastructure concerns - particularly the poor condition of Henley Road and Caversham Bridge. Working alongside Isobel and fellow campaigners, she is determined to push the Council to take urgent action and deliver the road improvements residents deserve.
Saadia Saadat stands ready to be a strong voice for Caversham Heights alongside Isobel - championing local concerns, demanding better from the Council, and working tirelessly to improve the area for everyone.
